Judy Thorp has extensive experience as an employee benefits and compensation advisor, particularly in matters involving mergers and acquisitions. In particular, she assists clients with the integration of their plans and representing them before the IRS, if necessary.
Prior to joining SMART, Judy was National Partner-in-Charge of KPMG�s Compensation & Benefits practice. In that role, in addition to merger and acquisition consultations, Judy specialized in the qualification, design and administration of qualified retirement plans and deferred compensation plans. Her experience includes Section 457 plans, Section 403(b) annuities, pension plans, profit sharing plans, Section 401(k) plans, Section 125 cafeteria plans, and health and welfare plans. |
