Julian is the auctionPAL Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he oversees the development of our technology-enabled service platform as well as our website application development. He has over 18 years experience as a software entrepreneur. Prior to joining auctionPAL, Julian was co-founder and CTO of C2GLogistics, which develops enterprise software for managing environmental waste management processes. Prior to C2GLogstics, Julian was co-founder and CTO of TransDecisions, a Location Based Services firm founded on his consulting work and systems development successes in merging geographic information systems (GIS) with transportation data management and decision support applications. Julian teaches web and network security classes part-time at Babson College and researches and publishes in the areas of decision support and management information systems. Dr. Ray received his PhD at the University of Tennessee where he was Director of the Transportation GIS Laboratory and subsequently a Director of the Transportation Research Center. Working with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, he secured funding and consulting assignments for projects with the DoE, DoT and DoD for the development of a variety of information management and logistics decision support system and has been involved with the design and deployment of solutions to support Operation Desert Shield, Response '95 and '97 as well as a Presidential Commission on Critical Transport Infrastructure Protection. Julian is a passionate soccer player and enjoys a round of golf when his busy work schedule allows. |
