Ms. Gilmore was born in Ft. Riley, Kansas and obtained her B.A. from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her law degree from the University of Kansas where she received a Merit Scholarship and was a Note and Comment Editor for the Kansas Law Review. Following graduation from law school in 1991, Ms. Gilmore clerked for Judge G. Joseph Pierron at the Kansas Court of Appeals. Before joining Kennedy Childs & Fogg , P.C., Ms. Gilmore was an Assistant District Attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico and represented physicians, hospitals and nursing homes as an associate attorney at the Beitler Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in New Mexico, Ms. Gilmore was appointed by the New Mexico Supreme Court to serve on the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization for three years. Additionally she has served as a panel member for the New Mexico Medical Review Commission. Ms. Gilmore also coached the Manzano High School Mock Trial Team in their first year of competition. Ms. Gilmore is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the New Mexico Bar Association and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. She is also licensed in New Mexico and Kansas. Her practice emphasizes representing physicians, hospitals and nursing homes in medical malpractice claims. |
