In 2006, Julie Culver joined SHOP.COM after 20 years of experience practicing law in both the public and private sectors. As SHOP.COM�s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Culver is responsible for oversight of matters of corporate governance and record keeping. She also drives the legal strategy for SHOP.COM." In addition, Culver serves as the company's chief privacy officer.Most recently, Culver spent the past seven years as a corporate attorney for a number of technology start-up companies. A former Deputy District Attorney, Culver was a highly-effective prosecutor who received the Prosecutor of the Year Award for Monterey County in 1991. During her career, Culver has also been very involved in community and charity boards throughout Monterey County including serving on: the Carmel Planning Commission; the National Steinbeck Center Board of Directors, Author�s Table; the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Governors; Las Estrella�s de Valle Trail Ride Committee; the Board of Directors for the Monterey College of Law, and as a Charter Board Member of the Monterey County Young Lawyer�s Association. Culver received her Bachelor of Finance degree and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Santa Clara.
