As managing director of the Information Technology (IT) Client Group at Forrester Research Julie is responsible for overseeing the global strategy and day-to-day operations of Forrester's offerings for IT professionals. Under Julie's direction Forrester helps IT professionals ensure business value through forward-looking and pragmatic research and advice. During her 16-year tenure at Forrester Julie has managed several of the company's key businesses extensively contributed to the creation of Forrester's research and now serves on Forrester's Executive Team.
Previously Julie was a vice president for Forrester's Consulting group in the Americas. She successfully grew the nascent practice from incubation to an established business. Under her leadership the team developed complementary frameworks to further leverage Forrester's research around vendor selection IT organization design and infrastructure assessments for $1 billion-plus clients.
Prior to her most recent roles Julie was a vice president in Forrester's CIO Group part of the Forrester Leadership Boards. She conducted custom research for the CIO members and worked with many of them to develop strategies around the intersection of business and technology. Before that she was instrumental in building Forrester's European presence while based in Forrester's London office. During that time Julie drove research content centered on technology leadership enterprise applications supply chain manufacturing B2B and telecom and mobile services.
Over the years Julie has provided in-depth analysis and strategic guidance to many senior technology executives worldwide. She frequently addresses CIOs on how to market and promote IT organizations within their businesses. Julie has spoken at such organizations as the World Trade Organization GM's Women in Technology Series and Executive Functions Management's IT Symposium. She has been quoted on CNBC the BBC and in The Wall Street Journal and other publications.
Prior to joining Forrester in 1993 Julie was an English teacher in Japan. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. |
