Julie Michals works to advocate for policies that advance energy efficiency in the region. Recently, her work has focused on the need for common measurement and verification (M&V) protocols in the Northeast, and in particular facilitated a New England State Program Working Group to provide input into the ISO-New England�s Forward Capacity Market M&V Manual.
Prior to NEEP, Julie was Senior Policy Analyst at the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources (DOER) where she researched, analyzed and developed policy recommendations for DOER on a broad range of energy efficiency issues, and developed annual energy efficiency reports to the legislature on ratepayer-funded energy efficiency activities. Prior to DOER, Julie worked for Tellus Institute performing research on electric utility restructuring issues with a focus on environmental and consumer protection concerns.
Julie holds a bachelor's degree. in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a master's degree. in energy and environmental analysis from the Center for Energy & Environmental Studies at Boston University. |
