Julie Wood joined CLS in April of 2005. Since then, she has worked on a variety of public affairs accounts, providing media relations expertise and strategic advice for both international and domestic clients. She has worked on several public affairs campaigns and has extensive experience working for coalitions and trade associations. In her role at CLS, Ms. Wood works for the Better World Campaign an organization created with Ted Turner�s $1 billion gift the United Nations on strategic communications plans designed to build U.S. support for the United Nations and its programs around the world, including peacekeeping operations. She also works for a number of trade associations, including the American Dental Association, where she works on a variety of public affairs issues involving oral health across the country. Prior to joining CLS, Ms. Wood held several positions at the Washington Post Company. She was a producer at washingtonpost.com, where she edited news and sports articles for the website of the Washington Post, and prior to that, she worked for the Metro section at the newspaper. Ms. Wood is originally from Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is proficient in French. |
