Jun H. Yu is a partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP and a member of the Corporate & Business Law Group. He practices primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial transactions, with a focus on sales and acquisitions, securities regulations, capital formation, commercial law, fianancing, real estate and general business consulting.Mr. Yu has represented various public and private companies in M&A deals and raised capital for new and mature businesses through structured offerings of securities. Mr. Yu has significant experience in representing private investment companies in acquiring target businesses on joint ventures, strategic alliances and separations. Mr. Yu has also negotiated and drafted commercial contracts, leases, licenses and other agreements.Mr. Yu is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Yu worked as a journalist, including as an assistant business editor for The Detroit News, and owned and managed a business in Philadelphia. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Rosa Parks Scholarship Fund in Detroit and is a mentor for the Asian Law Student Association at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.He graduated from Dickinson College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology and Biology. Mr. Yu earned a Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy in 1981 from the University of Chicago. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1997 from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, where he was a member of the Wayne Law Review. |
