Jung Woo Sung is a Vice President in the Asia Growth Capital Group. He is based in Seoul.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2006, Mr. Sung was a Principal at SOFTBANK Asia Infrastructure Fund (SAIF), where he focused on investments in the telecom, media, technology and business services sectors and closed six transactions. Mr. Sung led SAIF�s investment in WiderThan Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: WTHN), a leading provider of mobile entertainment solutions for global wireless carriers, and was a member of the company�s board of directors. Previously, Mr. Sung was a co-founder of La Jolla Investment and held various positions within Tong Yang Group, a leading financial conglomerate in Korea.
Mr. Sung received his B.A. in economics from The University of Chicago. |
