Mr. Leong joined J.W. Childs Associates in March 2005 and is based in the Hong Kong office. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Leong was President of the Asia/Pacific operations for York International Corporation, the world's largest independent heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigeration company. Mr. Leong led and re-positioned the organization through the Asian Financial Crisis, planned and executed the consolidation of York's business in Australia and championed 6 Sigma Quality and Continuous Improvement processes. Prior to becoming President, Mr. Leong held senior roles for York International Corporation, including Vice President of Northeast Asia from 1994 to 1998 and General Manager of Malaysia operations from 1988 to 1994. Mr. Leong has been actively involved in industry activities and worked closely with government entities on issues relating to Ozone Depleting Substances. He graduated from Iowa State University with B.S and M.S degrees in mechanical engineering. |
