Global Chief Investment Officer, Active Equities, and Global Head of Equity and Currency Trading
Minder Cheng is responsible for BGI's active equity products managed globally. He also has overall responsibility for BGI?s equity and foreign exchange trading activities worldwide. Minder is a member of BGI's Executive Committee. Prior to joining BGI in 1999, he held roles as senior strategist, proprietary trader, and research analyst at Convergence Asset Management, Sumitomo Finance International, Salomon Brothers, and the New York Stock Exchange. His direct trading, investment, and research experience covers equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, futures, and derivatives in the US and international markets. Minder received his PhD in finance and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, and his BA from National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan. |
