Miranda Rees has over 25 years of experience in global drug development. She has led multidisciplinary project teams in both large pharmaceutical and small biotech companies. As Vice President of Product Development at Novacea, a recently public company, Ms. Rees oversaw the creation of product development plans for all Novacea�s oncology drug candidates and ensured effective implementation and management of the plans. She also led the following functional areas at Novacea while building infrastructure: Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, Biometrics, and, ad interim, Clinical Operations. At Roche, Ms. Rees led international project teams through the successful completion of global market licensing applications. Her formal training is in biostatistics, and prior to becoming Global Project Team leader, she held the position of Director of Statistics at Roche and worked as a clinical biostatistician at Syntex Research, Glaxo, and Beecham Pharmaceuticals, contributing to successful new drug applications in a wide range of therapeutic areas. Ms. Rees gained a BS in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Reading, England, and an MS in Biostatistics from Columbia University. |
