Miranda Curtis is President of Liberty Global Japan, a title she assumed upon the combination of Liberty Media International (LMI) and UnitedGlobalCom in June 2005. In that capacity she continues to oversee all Liberty�s investments in Japan.
Ms. Curtis has managed Liberty�s activities in Japan since the company first invested there in 1993, and has been focused full-time on the Japanese market since 2002. Previously, Ms. Curtis was responsible for all Liberty�s activities in Asia and Continental Europe including the Multithematiques partnership with Canal Plus. She also served on the Board of Telewest plc from 1998-2002.
Ms. Curtis has worked with the Liberty group since 1988, initially with the company�s UK subsidiaries. She moved to the parent company in Denver in 1992, and held several senior management positions in the company before being promoted to President of LMI in February 1999.
Ms. Curtis is a member of the Jupiter Telecommunications (J:COM) board of directors (listed on JASDAQ 4817); she also serves on the board of directors of Jupiter Programming (JTV) and those of numerous JTV subsidiaries.
