Experience:
Miriam Nemetz is a respected and experienced litigator whose practice is primarily focused on appellate litigation. Miriam represents major corporations and trade associations in state and federal appellate courts throughout the country, including the US Supreme Court. She has significant experience in cases involving consumer fraud, insurance bad faith, employment discrimination and the dormant Commerce Clause. In addition, Miriam has a strong background in the areas of punitive damages and class certification. Miriam serves as Mayer Brown�s National Hiring Partner and is a member of the firm�s Ethics and Loss Prevention Committee.
Before joining Mayer Brown in 1997, Miriam served as Associate Counsel to the President (The White House, 1995-1997) and, previously, was associated with another prominent law firm in Washington, DC. Between 1989 and 1990, she served as Law Clerk to The Honorable Edward N. Cahn, US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
