Miroslav Dokic Ph.D. was named vice president DSP Business Unit in May 2007. Previously Dr. Dokic served as director of DSP Firmware Engineering and Advanced Technology Development in Cirrus Logic�s Embedded Products Division where he led the development of a world class audio algorithm portfolio.
Dr. Dokic joined Cirrus Logic in November 1995 as DSP project leader and quickly established an in-house DSP development team which is now a separate Cirrus Logic business unit. He assumed a role of design manager in 1997 and became director of DSP firmware engineering in 1999.
Miroslav holds 20 U.S. patents in the area of audio and video compression technologies and DSP technologies in general. He also represented Cirrus Logic in various industry bodies and organizations such as MPEG committee (1995-2005) MPEG Industry Forum group (2000-current) and DVD Forum group from 2002 till 2005.
Before joining Cirrus Logic Dr. Dokic worked for Adaptive Micro-Ware a small startup company in Fort Wayne Ind. where he worked as a Senior DSP engineer on direct broadcast satellite audio and video compression systems as well as video-on-demand service and set-top box design for ADSL-based networks.
Dr. Dokic received his doctorate degree in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology at Chicago and his masters of science and bachelors of science degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Sarajevo former Yugoslavia. |
