As Absolute Performance CTO, Mitchell Ashley is responsible for company, product and technology strategy, providing direction to marketing, product management, and product engineering. Mitchell serves as the chief spokesperson for Absolute Performance to the media, analysts, customers and online social media communities. Mitchell Ashley is a visionary CTO, serial entrepreneur and recognized industry expert in the creation of innovative networking and security products at multiple startup companies over the past two decades. He is a leader in conceiving, designing and creating award winning, user centered software products. Mitchell is widely read through his writing on his The Converging Network personal blog, Network World Converging On Microsoft blog, Converging On Microsoft podcast and SSAATY podcast. He is frequently quoted in media publications including USAToday, Network World, InfoWorld, and Computerworld, and his byline articles have appeared in many publications, including the ISSA Journal, ISACA Control magazine, and the SOX Compliance Journal. He also authored a chapter in the book Growth Strategies For Software Companies. Prior to joining Absolute Performance, Mitchell was CTO, GM and VP Customer Experience at StillSecure where he led the company�s product strategy and creation of the innovative, industry leading products Cobia, Safe Access, Strata Guard, and VAM. Mitchell also served as primary company spokesperson with media and analysts, as General Manager of the Cobia product business, and led StillSecure�s innovative customer experience and product UI design programs. Prior to StillSecure, Mr. Ashley was CIO and VP Engineering at Jato Communications, where he led the design, engineering, information technology, and customer service operations of a national broadband network with over 450 points of presence. Mr. Ashley was also co-founder and EVP of BoldTech Systems, and led the nation�s first hybrid fiber-coax broadband interactive services, including set top box, video-on-demand, home shopping, online games, Internet cable modem and Internet services. Mr. Ashley began his career as a Systems Engineering and Manager of Electronic Data Systems' (EDS) Technology Transfer projects. Mr. Ashley is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Kearney, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Administration. |
