Dr. Elhag is a Board Certified Surgeon practicing with Dr. Thomas Marshall and Dr. Eric Gunther at Franklin Surgery.
Schooling
Dr. Elhag completed his surgical residency at James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. He is Sudanese with formal general surgery training in both the United Kingdom and United
States, including Harvard Medical School. Additionally, he has completed fellowship training in surgical endoscopy at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Professional Interest
Before coming to Farmington, Dr. Elhag practiced as a general surgeon at the Quillen VA Medical Center in Tennessee. Dr. Elhag has worked in a number of different venues in the United States, including Maine, where he was a member of the medical staff at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan and Millinocket Regional Hospital from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Elhag is a member of the American Medical Association, Maine Medical Association, and is a Fellow in Surgical Endoscopy.
Personal Interest
Dr. Elhag and his wife Rasha are delighted to have returned to Maine, where they enjoy
the change of seasons and outdoor activities. Both have family nearby in New Hampshire. Dr. Elhag enjoys
fishing and hunting during his spare time. |
