Prior to coming to the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library in 2003, Ms. Corcoran was employed by the University of Texas Health Science Center in the Medical School Department of Radiology. She also served as a Reference Specialist with the Houston Public Library. In previous positions, Ms. Corcoran was heavily involved in reference work, collection development, and in developing tutorials in the use of collection resources. At the October 2003 annual meeting of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association, she and a colleague from the MD Anderson Cancer Center presented their team approach to developing a Resident-on-Rotation Reading List. Ms. Corcoran is a member of the American Academy of Religion, Society of Biblical Literature, Indiana Library Federation, American Library Association, Catholic Library Association, and the Texas Library Association. |
