Monte Barrett joined Koontz McCombs in 2002 to assist in the opening of Koontz McCombs' residential multifamily construction division. As Vice President, Mr. Barrett's objective is the completion of all projects in a manner mutually beneficial to the developer, investors, sub-contractors, tenants and the community.
He began his 30-year real estate career in sales, but quickly moved to construction, supervising commercial and residential finish out projects for Ross Stevenson and Associates. Previously with Hill, White, and Matjeka, The Hanover Company, and Larry Peel Development, Mr. Barrett has directed multifamily construction divisions for over 20 years. With national due diligence, new market, and construction expertise, he is skilled in the management of all phases of residential apartment projects - most notably the award winning Broadwater Apartments in Galveston, Texas and the Pin Oak 1100 unit project in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Barrett enjoys the creativity and teamwork inherent in his work. Mr. Barrett was born in Houston, Texas and studied fine arts at the University of Houston. Mr. Barrett is married and has three sons. His favorite activity is fishing with his 11-year old son, Oscar. |
