Mr. Cook brings to Prospect more than 14 years of finance experience in energy and other industries. He joined Prospect in 2006 and focuses on origination and execution of investment opportunities. Mr. Cook was previously with Greenbridge Partners, the outsourced investment advisory group to Vulcan Ventures where he advised on numerous strategic and financial investment opportunities across several industry verticals. He joined Greenbridge in 2000 from J.P. Morgan�s Investment Banking Group, where he was a Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Group, the unit which provides private equity clients with high yield public and private debt origination, structuring and distribution. While at J.P. Morgan, he worked on several leveraged buyout transactions for mid to large fund size sponsor clients.
From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Cook was with the Peregrine Capital unit of Peregrine Investments Holdings, where he worked with U.S. corporate and financial buyers on acquisition and investment opportunities in the Asian region. In addition to advising a private equity fund on acquiring natural gas distribution businesses in South Korea, he worked on Hopewell Holdings� sale of Consolidated Electric Power Asia (CEPA) to the Southern Company for $2.7 billion.
Mr. Cook began his finance career at Merrill Lynch where he was a Financial Analyst in the investment banking group for three years. While at Merrill, he completed transactions that raised more than $5 billion for domestic and international issuers including Indonesia�s first privatization. Mr. Cook graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. degree in Business. |
