Monty assumed the position of vice president of business development in January 2000. From the time of acquisition of VitalSigns Software in 1998 until January 2000, he was the co-general manager of the VitalSoft business unit. Prior to that he founded VitalSigns Software and served as it president and chief executive officer from August 1996 until 1998, when it was acquired by INS. Before founding VitalSigns Software, he served as vice president of business affairs and general counsel of Bay Networks where he was responsible for managing its acquisitions, strategic relationships, corporate development and legal matters. Before joining Bay Networks' predecessor SynOptics Communications in 1996, Monty served in various positions in sales, marketing and business development in large high technology companies as well as start-up companies. He holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from Stanford Law School. |
