Nakul Saraiya leads the architecture and technical direction of the company's system software. He is an industry veteran, bringing 18 years of professional experience in scalable systems and networking to the Fabric7 team. Prior to founding Fabric7, Mr. Saraiya was principal engineer at Akamai Technologies where he concentrated on wide-area transport performance and helped redesign the company's world-wide live streaming network. Mr. Saraiya was an early employee with the CTO's office at CacheFlow, a pioneer in high-performance caching appliances, focusing on performance and architecture. Prior to CacheFlow, he was a senior staff engineer at Sun Microsystems where he architected Java's reflective capabilities and worked on scaling Solaris on Sun's SMP servers. Mr. Saraiya spent five years researching multi-processor system and software architectures at Stanford University after earning his Masters degree in Computer Science at the university. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. Many of Mr. Saraiya's findings and developments have been published in various industry and technical journals over the last decade. |
