Nancy Olah has a wide range of real estate and transactional experience and worked as in-house counsel for real estate developers and insurance companies before joining the firm. Ms. Olah's practice focuses on the following areas: Commercial Development - Representing developers in the creation of commercial properties, including mixed-use developments, business and industrial parks, shopping centers, townhouse and condominium projects, hotels, conference centers, golf course communities and marinas. Drafting and negotiating complex development agreements, construction management agreements, operating agreements and ground leases.
Interstate Land Sales Act Compliance - Preparing Statements of Record for registering subdivisions under the Interstate Land Sales Act, and counseling developers on how to qualify for exemptions from registration.
Commercial Leasing - Representing landlords and tenants in negotiating leases for office, retail and industrial properties.
Restrictive Covenants - Creating restrictive covenants and architectural control guidelines for multi-phase developments. Establishing horizontal property regimes in South Carolina and condominium developments in North Carolina. Advising developers regarding compliance with the North Carolina Planned Community Act.
Commercial Lending - Serving as lender's counsel on commercial acquisition, development and construction loans in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Development Agreements - Drafting development agreements under the South Carolina Development Agreement Act, which vests property rights and protects against subsequently enacted local legislation that may impede the development of large, multi-phase projects.
Ms. Olah is also a licensed title insurance agent in South Carolina.
