Dr. Janakiraman has over 32 years of experience in program management, business capture, engineering management, hardware & software product development and systems engineering. His experience is both broad and deep in the above areas. He is well versed in Government procurements, contractual issues and project finance.
Currently at videoNEXT, he is responsible for transitioning to a process oriented development and customer support environment leading to high quality rapid-release software products and high-level of customer satisfaction.
He had been with L-3 Government Services Inc. (GSI), formerly EER Systems Inc. for 18 years. During the period September 1997 through June 2006 he managed and has been responsible for profit & loss for the $130 million Tactical Automated Security Systems (TASS) security program. He was Director DoD Systems capturing and managing Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) installations. Dr. Janakiraman has received numerous accolades and awards, has been rated consistently outstanding (Blue Rating) as program manager. Other customer citations include the ones for program quality, customer care, engineering development, data packages and supplier and subcontractor management. He has been responsible for numerous and highly competitive wins. These include the highly acclaimed technical proposal for the TASS bid for $142 million, which received �Blue rating, over $20 million in R&D and base install wins. Under his management L-3 GSI received an average award fee of 85% for the six development programs. He is known for his tight cost management, leadership and motivational skills.
In 1990, Dr. Janakiraman�s doctoral dissertation was recognized as a key contribution in the area of voice/data communications, and was published in the IEEE�s Frontiers in Communication series entitled Perspectives on Packetized Voice and Data Communications.
In 2001, he received EER Systems� prestigious Morris Gunzburg Award for Quality and Customer Satisfaction. |
