Nathan Horvath joined the San Francisco office of American Capital in June 2004. Mr. Horvath is responsible for originating, evaluating and negotiating both debt and equity investments and has participated in five new investments and one exit since joining the firm. Mr. Horvath currently serves as the American Capital Board Member for Edline LLC, a provider of software and technology solutions to K-12 schools.
Previously, Mr. Horvath was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young where he provided financial and accounting due diligence to private equity firms and strategic acquirors. While at Ernst & Young, Mr. Horvath worked on more than twenty-five transactions in a broad range of industries. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Horvath was the Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions for Cotelligent, a publicly-traded IT-consulting firm, where he was responsible for the valuation, analysis and due diligence of acquisition targets. Mr. Horvath began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Andersen where he audited clients in the technology, manufacturing and service industries.
Mr. Horvath received his M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in Accounting. Prior to attending college, Mr. Horvath served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a security forces team leader during the Persian Gulf War. |
