Nathan Todd is a 23 year veteran of law enforcement. Starting with a small police department in the Central Valley of California he worked as patrol officer and then as a deputy sheriff with the Merced County Sheriffs Office where he has spent the last 20 years. During his tenure with the sheriff�s office Nathan has been a training officer, narcotics agent, SCUBA diver in charge of the underwater recovery team and a pilot in the Sheriff�s Air Support Unit. Before leaving full time duty in November of 2004 at the rank of Sergeant, Nathan had amassed a number of commendations and awards for outstanding performance. He is currently a sworn active member of the Merced County Sheriff�s department as a part-time Deputy Sheriff.
Nathan�s aviation career started in 1992 and since that time he has accumulated over 8,000 hours of flight time and holds an ATP rating in fixed wing aircraft a commercial helicopter license as well as being an airplane flight instructor. Nathan owned a maintenance and management facility which cared for and piloted 11 corporate aircraft.
In 2003 Nathan joined Silver State Helicopters as a general manager in Los Banos, Ca. and soon after opened the Oakland, Ca. location as the manager of both facilities. In 2005 he was advanced to regional manager tasked with 5 offices in California, Oregon and Washington. In October of 2005 Nathan was promoted to Chief Operations Officer of Commercial Operations which currently oversees 22 turbine aircraft our Part 133, 135 and 137 operations as well as our maintenance division. Nathan serves as a member of Silver State Helicopters Executive Board and as a member of the SABLE (specialized airborne law enforcement) committee. Nathan maintains many memberships in various professional associations such as Airborne Law Enforcement Association (A.L.E.A), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). |
