J. Neal Armstrong was elected to deCODE's board of directors in October 2003. Mr. Armstrong is the chairman of the Audit Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Armstrong is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Aspect Medical Systems, which he joined in 1996. Prior to his current position, he served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Haemonetics Corp., as well as on Haemonetics' board of directors. Mr. Armstrong also spent five years at BTU International as Vice President of Finance and Administration, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer and 14 years with Texas Instruments, Inc., where he held senior operating and financial positions. Mr. Armstrong holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas and is a certified public accountant.
