Neil Rasmussen is Senior Vice President Chief Technical Officer and Director of American Power Conversion.
Rasmussen is one of three founders of APC and he is responsible for design efforts in APC�s research facilities in the US Europe and Asia. Instrumental in the Company�s initial development of an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) device Rasmussen has led the globalization and expansion of APC�s product offering. What began as a single product targeting the nascent local area networking market is now an expansive line of products targeting applications from home electronics to the data centers running the world�s largest companies.
APC is known throughout the industry as an innovator and a leader in the development of high quality products. The Company has been recognized for its excellence in technology leadership and quality and is the recipient of hundreds of awards worldwide. As a recognized expert in both the power electronics and information technology industry Rasmussen is called upon to provide keynote addresses at industry conferences in both fields.
Prior to founding APC Rasmussen worked in the Energy System Engineering Group of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory. Rasmussen received a BSEE from MIT in 1976 and a MSEE from MIT in 1979. |
