Neil counsels Calfee�s clients on a wide range of corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financing transactions, venture capital investments and succession planning. Neil represents both buyers and sellers of businesses in various types of transactions, including asset purchases, stock purchases and mergers. In facilitating these deals, Neil works with a diverse group of domestic and international clients, including start-up enterprises, closely-held companies and publicly-traded companies. He helps to structure these transactions in a manner that achieves clients� business, legal, financial and tax objectives. Neil also has extensive experience working with individuals and privately-held companies with respect to business formation, private placements, sales and distribution arrangements, employment and consulting agreements, real estate leases and executive compensation plans. This background enables him to offer practical and creative advice on a wide range of general business and corporate law issues. Neil is involved with a number of local civic and charitable organizations. He is also an active member of the Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations. Neil joined Calfee in 1989 and became a partner in 1999. He currently serves on the firm�s finance and hiring committees. |
