Neil Ticktin, CEO: Mr. Ticktin has over 20 years experience in sales & marketing, technology, trade and consumer shows, software and process development. Having founded Xplain Corporation in 1992, he then acquired a failing technical magazine and turned it around, creating a super-efficient, turnkey, custom services division, related to publishing and trade shows, and helped to create a targeted mail order business. With clients ranging from Apple Computer to Ford Motor Company to IDG, he has built a service model where the customer's needs are handled with the utmost respect, and a minimum of customer effort. As Xplain's CEO, and in prior positions, Ticktin has successfully raised capital, built and sold businesses with a track record of maximizing shareholder return. A published author of technical articles, and a periodic guest lecturer on New Ventures and Turnarounds at UCLA's Anderson School of Business, Mr. Ticktin holds a Bachelors degree in Linguistics/Computer Science from UCLA, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. On a personal level, Mr. Ticktin is an avid photographer, an Eagle Scout, and the Federation Chief of the local YMCA Indian Guide/Princess organization (for fathers and sons/daughters, the program has approximately 500 families in it). |
