Nguyet Chau works on matters in the general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, securities, intellectual property and insurance practice areas. Ms. Chau has worked with large and mid-size companies and small businesses in merger and acquisition transactions. For example, she assisted an international insurance company in its bid to acquire a public company through a tender offer. She has also assisted clients with general commercial matters and has negotiated various agreements, such as consulting arrangements, distributorship agreements and sales contracts. In addition, Ms. Chau has handled matters involving the protection and licensing of intellectual property rights, including preparing and prosecuting trademark applications in the United States. She has also handled a variety of pro bono matters, such as the deportation proceedings of Chadian and Kenyan nationals seeking political asylum in the United States.
