Nicholai E. Lekanoff began his long career as a director on OC's Board in 1975 when he served his first year. In 1978, he was appointed to serve on the Board again when Nena (Yatchmenoff) Mathe resigned, and served through 1981. He served another full term from 1985 through 1988. Nick was elected to the Board again in 1991, and has served ever since. His current term began in 2003 and expires in 2006. He was honored at OC's 30th Annual Shareholders' Meeting for being the longest-serving director on OC's Board.
Nick serves on the Investment Committee of the OC Board of Directors. He serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Dutch Harbor Development Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OC.
For the past seventeen years, Nick has worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Unalaska. |
