Nick Pittner is a partner with Bricker & Eckler LLP and a member of the education group and a participant in the mental retardation/developmental disabilities group. His practice emphasizes education law, and public finance labor relations, including litigation and collective bargaining.
Representative Experience
Has served as trial counsel in numerous precedent making cases involving major education law issues in State and Federal Courts, including the constitutionality of Ohio's school funding laws
Regularly participates in the negotiation of public school district collective bargaining agreements involving both teaching and non teaching bargaining units and has participated in numerous administrative hearings before such agencies as the Board of Tax Appeals, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the Ohio Industrial Commission, the State Department of Education, the Board of Building Appeals and the State Employment Relations Board
Author of articles dealing with such areas as the levy and collection of school district taxes, public sector collective bargaining and legal issues in special education
Lectures extensively on matters related to school law at state and national conferences
