Nicholas Donnithorne is a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. He is a member of the Pensions & Incentives Group where his practice focuses on pensions law in the UK.
Nicholas advises on all aspects of UK pensions law including in particular the pensions aspects of mergers and acquisitions, Pensions Regulator clearance applications, scheme mergers, scheme funding issues, Pensions Ombudsman complaints and other scheme dispute resolution procedures, advising and drafting in relation to scheme documentation and general on-going advice in relation to schemes.
Nicholas principally advises both employers and trustees of pension schemes across a range of industry sectors. He has however also advised other professional organizations involved in the pensions industry in the UK.
Nicholas often speaks on pension law issues, in particularly tailoring client training seminars to suit each individual client�s requirements. Nicholas is a full member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
Prior to joining McDermott, Nicholas worked for another leading international law firm in their pensions practice and has been seconded to the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (the predecessor to the Pensions Regulator).
