Nik is responsible for all of Carlson Marketings services in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Additionally, he is accountable for the Kuwait operation and Kuwait Airlines account in cooperation with the Europe, Middle East and Africa team. Originally from London, Nik is an incentive, retention and loyalty marketing specialist with experience stemming across a variety of disciplines including RM strategy and implementation, date planning and analysis, digital marketing, systems development, call centre management and creative development. Loyalty Marketing is a key part of Carlson Marketing. We started back some 65 years ago with Gold Bond Stamps, our first loyalty program offering customers stamps for shopping at participating retailers. The stamps could be redeemed for rewards. Today, we know up to 80% of a companys revenue can come from just 20% of its customers. So it is imperative for companies to identify and retain their most loyal customers. Its cost effective, too. Companies can spend four to nine times getting a new customer over retaining an existing one. Prior to his current role, Nik was Business Management Director, Australia, where he was responsible for business development, and creation and delivery of client relationship marketing strategies. Clients included Virgin Blue, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Citibank and Diners Club. Nik joined Carlson Marketing in 1996 working with the UK office to plan and implement several retention and loyalty programs. Clients he worked with there included Eurotunnel, Eurostar, Forte Hotels, GlaxoSmithKline and Thameslink. Prior to joining Carlson Marketing, Nik worked in the UK for banking giant Credit Suisse, marketing financial software to London financial institutions. He began his career with Rank Xerox working on a pan-European direct response campaign, which was the first of its kind for Xerox. Nik received a bachelor of honors degree in Business Studies from the University of Portsmouth, UK, and a CIM diploma from the Charted Institute of Marketing, UK. |
