W. Norman Phillips is senior vice president, Fuels and Pipelines, for Lyondell Chemical Company.
Phillips joined the company in 1977 as a process engineer at the Channelview Petrochemical Complex. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing, Planning and Manufacturing, including refined products sales manager and manager of planning. In 1992, he was named site manager of the Channelview Petrochemical Complex and in 1993 was elected an officer of the corporation. He was named vice president of Petrochemicals Sales and Marketing in 1995. At the formation of Equistar in December 1997, Phillips became senior vice president, Petrochemicals. He was named senior vice president, Polymers, in August 1998. Phillips has served in his current capacity since April 2002.
A native of Tennessee, Phillips received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas. |
