Nugent Brasher, Chairman, is a third generation oilman who brings extensive experience in oil and gas exploration, particularly in the application of computerized data analysis. Nugent is one of Zavanna's two expert users of the ExplorationStation and is a designer of its exploration techniques. Nugent guides Zavanna into appropriate exploration areas, represents the Company in attracting industry partners in each area, coordinates the identification of leads within the targeted areas, and guides the continuous development of the Technology. Nugent received his B.S. in Geology from the University of Texas in 1969 and began his professional career with Texas Pacific Oil Company in Lafayette, Louisiana. After four years he became an independent geologist active in the Permian Basin. In 1979 he began consulting to both major and independent oil and gas companies on building exploration databases. Nugent co-founded Bravo Resources in 1981 with Steve Rothman and began actively developing a microcomputer-based exploration workstation as part of research and development on the use of computer technology in petroleum exploration. In 1989, the joint venture between Bravo and Prairie commenced, which in turn became Zavanna, LLC. |
