Olivier Bohuon is senior vice president, Abbott International, the commercial operations for Abbott's international pharmaceutical business. Previously, he served as vice president, Europe Operations, Abbott International. He has held various positions in the company's International Division, including Pharmaceutical Products director for Spain and manager, Anti-Infectives, Abbott's International Business Development. He joined Abbott in 1988, and he was appointed to his current role in April of 2006.
Previously, he worked for Roussel Uclaf as marketing and sales director, Near and Middle East and for Boston Consulting Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Before rejoining Abbott, he was senior vice president and director, European Commercial Operations with GlaxoSmithKline Pharma Europe. Prior to that, Olivier was president of SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals France. During his tenure at GSK in France, Bohuon held the positions of vice president and chief operating officer and vice president and director of marketing, sales and medical affairs.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the Haute Etudes Commerciales (HEC) School of Management in Paris. He received a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Paris XI, France-Sud, Chatenay-Malabry. Bohuon is a member of the French Academie de Pharmacie and member of the French Academy of Technologies.
