Olivier Bohuon is senior vice president, Abbott International, heading up the company's global pharmaceutical business. He was appointed to his current role in April of 2006. Previously he served as vice president, European Operations, Abbott International.
Before rejoining Abbott in 2003, Bohuon was senior vice president of European commercial operations at GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to the merger between Glaxo and SmithKline, Bohuon was CEO of SmithKline Beecham France. He also worked at Roussel Uclaf as marketing and sales director, Near and Middle East, and for Boston Consulting Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, Bohuon was a marketing director for Abbott International's anti-infective franchise and later as the Pharmaceutical Products Division director for Abbott Spain.
Bohuon is a member of the French Academie de Pharmacie and the French Academy of Technologies.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the Haute Etudes Commerciales (HEC) School of Management in Paris and he received a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Paris XI, France-Sud, Chatenay-Malabry. |
