Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is President and COO of Nokia Corporation, the world leader in mobile communications. Before his appointment to his current position, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones for Nokia from 2004 through September 2005. Mr. Kallasvuo joined Nokia in 1980 as an attorney, and has been a member of Nokia Group Executive Board since 1990. In 1992 he was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Nokia Group. In 1997-1998 Mr. Kallasvuo served as corporate executive vice president, Nokia Americas and President, Nokia Inc., and was responsible for all Nokia's business operations in the Americas. He returned to the position of Nokia's Chief Financial Officer in January 1999. Mr. Kallasvuo is a member of EMC�s Audit and Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees. He became an EMC director in August 2004. Mr. Kallasvuo received his Master's degree in law from the University of Helsinki in 1976. |
