Omar Kilany is an associate at Carrington Coleman. He practices in the areas of business litigation, intellectual property, and appellate law, and has handled a wide variety of complex commercial matters, with a primary focus on intellectual property matters and disputes involving the Lanham Act, federal and state anti-dilution acts, licensing issues, and other relevant trademark law. In addition, Mr. Kilany has acted as local counsel for a number of patent and trademark disputes pending in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas. Mr. Kilany has also handled other complex contract and real estate disputes, corporate governance and business tort matters (including matters involving director and officer liability, fraud, and breaches of fiduciary duty), and employment law matters. Mr. Kilany's experience has involved matters in both federal and state court. His appellate experience includes post-trial motion practice, mandamus practice, merits briefing before federal and state courts of appeal, as well as preparing and responding to Petitions for Review before the Texas Supreme Court. Mr. Kilany is licensed to practice by the State Bar of Texas, and is also admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Court of Federal Claims, and the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western District Courts of Texas. |
