Pablo Garcia S. is Manager of the Financial Policy Division at the Central Bank of Chile since August 2006
Prior to his designation, Mr. Garc�a had been appointed Manager of Macroeconomic Analysis to the Central Bank of Chile (2000-2006) and lately, Manager of Financial Stability (April - July 2006) in the same Institution. Senior economist of the Macroeconomic Programming Management in 2000 and of the Economic Research Management in 1999. Prior to joining the Central Bank, Mr. Garc�a worked for Ciepl�n (the Economic Research Corporation for Latin America) as assistant researcher from 1991 to 1992 and then as researcher from 1993 to 1994.
Mr. Garc�a graduated in business studies in 1992 and as Master of Economics in 1993 from the Catholic University of Chile and obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1999.
He currently teaches Macroeconomics at the Master in Economics of the Center for Applied Economics and International Economics at the Alberto Hurtado University.
Mr. Garc�a has published several works on macroeconomics and international economics and has taken part in various seminars and conferences. |
