Pamela J. Robertson is appointed Executive Vice-President, Personal and Commercial Delivery.
Most recently, Ms. Robertson was Executive Vice-President, Ontario Division, Personal and Commercial Banking Distribution, BMO Bank of Montreal with responsibilities for the operation of the branch banking network in Ontario. Prior to this, Ms. Robertson was Senior Vice-President, Prairies Division.
A native of Vancouver, she has spent her career with BMO Bank of Montreal in increasingly senior roles across the country.
Ms. Robertson joined BMO in Vancouver in 1976. At the time, she was the first woman to achieve Senior Management status in B.C., and at the age of 27 was the youngest woman in BMO to be appointed Area Manager.
In 1986, Ms. Robertson moved to Ontario as Area Manager responsible for Retail Operations for 15 branches in a growing region just north of Toronto. Two years later, she moved into corporate headquarters, taking on several assignments in a wide-range of fields including private banking and registered retirement savings plans. In 1990 she returned to a line role where she was responsible for commercial and personal banking. Ms. Robertson received her first executive appointment in 1992, when she was promoted to Vice-President, Community Banking, in Kingston, Ontario.
In 1998, she was sponsored by BMO Bank of Montreal to attend the 10-week Harvard Advanced Management Program.
Ms. Robertson enjoys the outdoors, walking, gardening and boating at her family cottage at Gibson's Landing in British Columbia with her husband and daughter. |
