Ms. Buckman joined Thermage, Inc. in 2000 following 30 years of involvement in both the delivery of healthcare and the healthcare products industry. Her primary expertise is the development of FDA regulatory strategy programs for medical device manufacturers as well as the direction and development of clinical research studies and related evaluation programs. Following more than a decade in clinical practice, Ms. Buckman joined Bayer AG and then Hexcel Medical in Clinical Affairs and Business Management positions. In 1983, she formed Buckman Company, Inc., an ongoing consulting firm dedicated to clinical and regulatory matters in the medical device arena. Industries served included orthopedic implants, cardiovascular devices, medical and textiles, surgical laser systems and many other healthcare categories. Ms. Buckman is a Registered Nurse and a Credentialed Educator in the California Community College System. She holds a BS in Nursing and Psychology from Mount St. Mary's College and an MS in Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. |
