Pamela Knous currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer for SUPERVALU, a position she has held since joining the company in 1997. She is responsible for finance, information technology and investor relations. Before joining SUPERVALU, Knous was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of The Vons Companies, Inc. Prior to merging with Safeway in April 1997, Vons was the ninth largest supermarket chain in the United States. Prior to joining Los Angeles-based Vons in 1991, Knous was a partner in the Los Angeles office of international accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick. She was employed by KPMG for 14 years. Knous serves as a member of the board of directors of Tennant Company. Knous is a native of Minnesota and attended Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota and graduated with a B.A. in mathematics and a B.S. in business administration from the University of Arizona. |
