Pascale Rouast-Bertier is counsel in Curtis London and is based in the Firm�s Paris office. Her practice areas are banking and financial law, regulation law, and public contracts and finance.
Ms. Bertier began her career as a counselor for the regional chamber of accounts for the Ile-de-France, where she was given the mission of budget and management control for local collectivities (1986-1987). She then joined the firm Coudert Fr�res (legal counsel and then attorney) as an associate (1988-1997) then partner (1998-2000). For 12 years, she advised both French and foreign clients in the field of mergers and acquisitions, financial law, as well as, since 1996, regulatory and administrative law concerning network industries (telecommunications, energy).
From 2001 to 2005, Ms. Bertier was the deputy general counsel of Dexia Credit Local, a bank specializing in the financing of local collectivities and project financing. In this role, she most notably took part as an internal counsel for the bank in numerous financial operations (traditional or structured) of French and foreign collectivities, project financing, asset financing, concession financing and public-private partnerships (u.c. AEL, BEH, leasing).
In December 2005, she became the deputy general counsel for the group LaFarge (world leader in construction material), where she, in particular, worked with financier briefs in regards to compliance (especially in the domain of competition law).
Ms. Bertier is admitted to the Paris Bar.
