Pat Murphy joined West Marine in 1999 as the Senior Vice President of Logistics. He has vast experience working in the retail industry with a focus on logistics and distribution. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Murphy was Group Vice President of Logistics for Borders Group, Inc. He served as GM & President of Midwest Operating Division for the Southland Corp. from 1989 to 1992, as Director of Distribution for Wilson Foods from 1985 to 1989, and as General Manager for Levi Strauss & Company�s distribution center from 1980 to 1985.
Having been born and raised in the Midwest, Pat�s boating experience has primarily been on inland lakes such as Lake of the Ozarks, Grand Lake, Lake Mead, etc. During vacations and nearly every summertime weekend the family could usually be found water skiing, tubing or just cruising. Now that Pat is spending more time near the ocean, he has become an avid crewmember on Promotion whenever the opportunity presents itself. |
