Mr. Quinn began his career in finance in 1982 after graduating from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Accounting and a minor in Computer Science. His career began in public accounting as an auditor in Midland, Texas. In 1984 he relocated to Dallas and rose to the position of Controller at Lomas & Nettleton Financial Corporation (NYSE LNF). He participated in 2 public stock offerings and was responsible for all financial accounting, SEC reporting and investor relations.
In 1989 Mr. Quinn moved to Affiliated Computer Systems/Precept where he held the title of Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure he performed due diligence on numerous acquisition candidates, was responsible for all financial reporting and banking related matters. Mr. Quinn also participated in the IPO of Affiliated Computer Systems (NYSE ACS).
In 1997 Mr. Quinn joined B.R. Blackmarr & Associates as Chief Financial Officer. He was responsible for all accounting related activities, installed a new cost accounting system, and negotiated a 300% increase in the Company�s bank line of credit. Mr. Quinn also was heavily involved with the merger of B.R.Blackmarr into BrightStar Information Technology Corp (NASDAQ BTSR) and the subsequent IPO. He was responsible for all SEC reporting, internal management reporting, coordinating the annual audit and negotiating bank lines of credit.
Mr. Quinn is also an adjunct professor of finance in the MBA program at the University of Dallas. He was been rated in the top 5% of the adjunct faculty. |
