Pat Ryan is a Managing Director, Co-Head of Risk Management and Chief Credit Officer of Citi Markets & Banking (CMB), jointly responsible for global management of all CMB credit, market, and operational risks. Pat is a member of Citi�s Management Committee, Citi�s Risk Management Operating Committee, CMB�s Planning Group, and CMB�s Global Banking Operating Committee.
Since 2004, Pat has been Chief Credit Officer of CMB, leading the global Credit organization responsible for credit policy, risk strategy, transaction approvals, portfolio management, restructurings, and the loan loss reserving process.
Pat is also responsible for risk management of Citi Alternative Investments (CAI). CAI is the firm�s hedge fund and private equity investment platform.
In 2003, Pat relocated to London and was Chief Risk Officer of CMB�s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, responsible for credit, market and operational risks in EMEA.
Pat joined Travelers Group in 1996 as Head of Corporate Credit and subsequently became Head of Global Credit Markets Risk Management and a Senior Market Risk Manager for Salomon Smith Barney�s credit trading businesses.
Pat was previously a Vice President and Senior Transactor in Chemical Bank�s Middle Market Structured Finance Group originating, structuring and syndicating leveraged transactions.
Pat has a B.A. in American History from Wesleyan University and a M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Pat is a Co-Founder and President of Staten Island ACHIEVE Dollars for Scholars, a charitable foundation providing college scholarships to students on Staten Island. Pat is also a Co-Founder of the Cardinal Scholarships at Wesleyan University, providing full scholarships to incoming freshmen.
