An executive with over thirty years experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, Mr. Crofts is well versed in all aspects of gaming such as development, operations and finance. He is licensed in multiple gaming jurisdictions in the U.S. as well as internationally. This experience, along with his extensive database of industry contacts, makes Mr. Crofts a very welcome addition to the Navegante Group.
Before joining Navegante Group as Vice President of Special Projects, Mr. Crofts was Senior Vice President of Development and Operations of American Heritage, Inc dba The Gillmann Group, a position he held since 2001, after a brief period of opening his own consulting firm in gaming and related business. In 1988, he was President & Chief Operating Officer of CMS International/Summit Casinos International. He was responsible for the company's $75 million development project in Tunica, Mississippi.
As Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Hotel Operations, Finance & Administration of Harvey's Resort Hotel & Casino in 1983, Mr. Crofts was a key member of the development and management team responsible for the hotel's expansion from a 200- room, second tier hotel/casino into a 750- room, four star/four diamond destination resort complex with gross revenues exceeding $120 million annually. He was also directly responsible for securing the $100 million financing for the expansion.
In 1976, Mr. Crofts held various significant positions for Harrah's Hotels & Casinos. He started as Internal Audit Manager and worked his way up to becoming the CFO & Controller and eventually the Director of Gaming Audit and Compliance.
Right after graduation from the Weber State University in 1973, Mr. Crofts joined Deloitte & Touche where he conducted and supervised external audits and compliance reviews of various clients who were mostly in the gaming and related business operations.
In spite of his very busy schedule, Mr. Crofts found time to join different industry and civic organizations. He held different key positions on various committees where he was appointed Trustee in the Gaming Industry Association of Nevada, Chairman, Nevada CPA Gaming Industry Committee, sat on the board of Directors, Sparks, Nevada Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the Board of Directors of a non-profit Youth Basketball Academy program. He was also a member of Sparks, a Nevada Downtown Redevelopment Business Advisory Committee and Design Review Committee. |
